Leave a Legacy or Die a F***ing Loser

My great great great grandfather fought in the Union Army. Private in Captain James’ Independent Company C, Pennsylvania Infantry, August 22, 1862.

My great uncles? Seven of them. Three were paratroopers. Two jumped into WWII and laid waste to Nazis. One was a Marine — kicking in doors and taking ground. One was a Green Beret in Vietnam. My grandfather served in Korea. My father? Paratrooper. Deployed to Somalia, Desert Storm, Desert Shield.

As for me, I’m a paratrooper as well, deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Different years. Different phases of the same war. I carried their legacy on my back.

This isn’t a story. This is a bloodline.

What Will Your Great Grandchildren Say About You?

Do something with the one life you’ve got.

You get nervous in interviews? You’re a bad test taker? Nobody gives a damn. That’s your excuse?
Then you don’t want it bad enough. Because the truth is, you’re not broken. You’re just comfortable.

Legacy doesn’t care about your fear. It’s built in discomfort. It’s forged in pressure. And it’s sealed in blood, sweat, and work.

You either become a name they remember, or you become a name they skip.
